Have to admit I have problems when a project has thumbnails that change in size and/or aspect ratio. A work that, as its title suggests, shows a journey with deep within the centre of the city, through the 'burbs, out to the country side. Once you're out there the material mixes actual footage with animation and so on, which I think runs against the basic idea of the work. However, in amongst there are some much better sequences which seem much more comfortable with the idea of the 'country' as being just, well, trees and some bush and lots of light. The city footage has a lot of night stuff, the country tends to be day, which would have been a really nice movement in itself, but I don't think the work quite realises this as there is day city content, and some night country stuff too. In my particular experience after some city I spent quite a while in the country but then, as I assume clips died, I found myself returning to the city, that is nicely done.
