vogmae interactive networked video practice

This triptych rhizome template allows you to use three videos. Each video is a completely different video object that the triptych QuickTime movie loads and plays at run time (when the video is viewed). The work consists of two files, the QuickTime file and its associated XML file. You must edit the XML file to point to the videos that you would like the triptych to load and play.

In this work the videos play and loop continuously and the user has no control over this. The video should be 320 x 240 in size and the usual constraints apply. You can also read a general introduction about the rhizome templates (what? why?)

To use just download the zip file below, decompress, edit the XML file, save as text only, and upload both the QuickTime movie and the XML file to the same directory. Load and play as for any other QuickTime movie. You can rename the QuickTime file, but the XML file cannot be renamed in any way, and must be in the same directory as the QuickTime movie.
