A tutorial that uses QuickTime Pro to show how you can edit in QuickTime and its implications for softvideo and video blogging as softvideo and QuickTime lets us make creative, low bit rate video.

This is an online tutorial that I wrote in 2003 as a way to show some of the things that could be done with QuickTime Pro. This is also to illustrate just what I mean by 'softvideo.' The tutorial was also published online in Fine Art Forum. To be able to do this tutorial you will need a copy of QuickTime Pro, and while the tutorial is written for an older version, what I describe is still there in more recent versions, but Apple have gone and moved where some of the windows are found. Basically you need to be able to view the Movie Properties window (only available in QuickTime Pro). It is called part one because I was going to write a follow up, but that never happened.
