I’ve just finished a second version of the final quote prototype. This one is identical to the first, except that I’ve recompressed Michael Verdi’s Vlog Anarchy video down to 160 x 120 and so instead of 19MB it is now 5. So it will load faster and generally behave better. I’m hosting this on my own server.

In addition there is also a copy of this that you can download and run off your local machine. There’s a readme in there, but basically keep the VogQuote.mov file outside of the media folder (which is where all the child assets live), and it should run fine.

Hmmm . . . after a few minutes of downloading I just got a broken .mov icon. This has been happening to me a lot today and I wonder if it’s related to XP users attempting to view vlogs made with Tiger. ? dunno. But I have seen Verdi’s Anarchy and, well, what a can of worms!
hi. This video wasn’t made on Tiger, and doesn’t use any codecs outside of QuickTime 6. Andreas has been able to view it on XP, so not sure what the issue is. I’d recommend downloading the entire archive and seeing what you can see. Let me know how it goes.
