As I've been rebuilding this site every now and then I've found a work that was more interesting than I remembered it to be. This is one of them. Ten views of my office desk, all shot via a tripod on video, though nothing actually happens or moves. Mouse in to each video pane (they are not child movies, and each is exactly one minute long) and a child movie commentary track loads and plays. So this has ten commentaries. Visually small, and heavily compressed (largely so that they could load and play when you moused in since, as child tracks, they only load on demand). So there's a lot of commentary here. The work is also playing with the idea of what video is, and online video, as these views of the desk appear to be, and could be photos (but they aren't), which is why one of the commentaries mentions Marker's La Jetée.

From the original post:

This is a series of one minute views of parts of my office desk. Mousing into the video panes will load one of ten commentaries (five on the left, five on the right).
