vog (a BETA videoblog)

Not much to say about this one, even where most of the vogs can be considered to be sketches, this is even more of a sketch. I was here trying out two things, a new Nokia N95, and eZedia QTi. The Nokia as I had got it because of its video features, and eZedia QTi simply because I was about to start using in the 2009 iteration of Integrated Media One so just wanted to play around with it a bit more. (I haven't provided a link to eZedia because like pretty much all of the QuickTime authoring software that has appeared, it has now disappeared.) The camera disappointed, it really struggled with the detail of the overhead wires.

The footage was all shot while waiting at Melbourne's main station (Flinders Street). They load and play as child movies (which is how eZedia did most of its tricks) and in this instance I've provided no user interaction at all, I just wanted something really wide, that loads and plays four different videos. There are no scripts (eZedia doesn't let you write scripts to check for load state) and so when each starts playing is in the lap of the network.
