Shot on my Nokia N97 while walking from the station to the office, just after getting my coffee. The spatter and the hole in the downpipe just seemed to do a better job than any wide shot of just how drab and wet the day had become.
Technically this uses two child movie tracks and four sprites. The two child movie tracks are video, each of which loads and plays in one of the video panes. The four sprites slow the videos, first to half normal playback, and then a quarter. Clicking either restores the video to normal playback speed. They also toggle individual text tracks.
Variable playback, slow motion to see the splash, pattern making. Relations between parts realised in a common visual field rather than serially as in montage.
