Marker's credits
Six cinetracts (1968)
Loin du Viêtnam (1967) One of the key figures of the
French film renaissance that was the 'New Wave' (also known as the
'nouvelle vague'). A leading international figure in cinema he is
probably best known for an oeuvre that explores in a highly reflexive
manner the material conditions of the cinema - as institution,
discourse, history, image, cultural object, etc. Put simply Godard
remains one of the towers of modernist (and postmodern) cinema.
