Audio Visual Texts

Part of the Chris Marker World Wide Web Site.
Written by Adrian Miles.

This is a chronologically ordered list of those audiovisual projects that Marker is credited with having been involved with. In some cases his role is not noted in the film's credits, but sources list him as involved.

These texts are referred to as "audiovisual" as Marker's work is not restricted to film, and his later projects demonstrate a willingness to use video and computer technologies as they become available. Indeed in Marker's "authorised" filmography he has divided his work along numerous classificatory lines.

Please note that the "References" listed at the end of some entries can be found in the Bibliography on Marker's work.

There is also a chronological listing of his written work (see the links at the end of this page).

Finally, while this list has been arranged chronologically, entries within each year are not in any particular order.
