When Kathy first meets Don she claims not to know who he is, nor to have seen any of his films - "If you've seen one, you've seen them all" -interestingly, this is just after Don has been mobbed by a group of female fans.

Kathy also quickly recognises Don's amorous advances, spurning him with her characterisation of film acting as all just "dumb show".
